Rebecca is the Owner and Founder of Magicfinz Infant Aquatics®, where she combines her lifelong passion for swimming with her mission to save lives through water safety education. As a highly trained aquatics professional, Rebecca specializes in survival swim instruction for infants and young children ages six months to six years. She also has extensive experience teaching swimmers of all ages and skill levels, along with providing lifeguarding and water safety services for families.
A Long Island native, Rebecca grew up surrounded by water and began swimming at just two years old to then becoming a competitive swimmer. That early connection inspired a deep respect and appreciation for the water — one she now passes on to every child she teaches.
After graduating magna cum laude from the University at Albany with a degree in Communications and a background in Business and Education, Rebecca merged her knowledge and over a decade of aquatic experience to create a program designed to make a lasting difference.
Her dedication to continuous learning and certification advancement stems from one driving mission: to reduce childhood drownings — the leading cause of death among infants, toddlers, and young children. Through the highly accredited Infant Aquatics® survival training program, Rebecca ensures that every student gains essential water safety skills, confidence, and independence in just weeks — not years.
Rebecca is deeply committed to empowering families with peace of mind through education, safety, and compassion. Known for her nurturing yet structured teaching style, she has become one of Long Island’s leading voices in aquatic safety and drowning prevention.
Through Magicfinz Infant Aquatics®, Rebecca continues to change lives — one confident, capable swimmer at a time. 🌊✨

Rachel has always had a passion for working with children, whether in the classroom or the pool. With her Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta and current Master’s studies in Educational Technology, she brings a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to teaching and connecting with young swimmers.
Before joining the Magicfinz team, Rachel worked as a substitute teacher, gaining experience with children of all ages and personalities. That experience now extends into the pool, where she creates a calm, positive, and supportive environment for every swimmer. With over eight years of experience teaching swim lessons at camps, homes, and JCCs, she has helped swimmers of all ages build confidence, safety, and joy in the water.
During her hands-on training with Judy Heumann at Swim Float Swim® in Longmont, Colorado, Rachel became proficient in teaching water survival skills to infants and young children using Infant Aquatics®’ proven methods. She gained real-world experience working with children of various ages and abilities, learning how to tailor each lesson to meet every swimmer’s unique comfort level — while keeping safety and assurance at the forefront.
Known for her patient, upbeat, and caring personality, Rachel embodies the Magicfinz mission of nurturing confidence and safety in every child. Her goal is to create a space where kids aren’t just learning survival swim techniques — they’re building pride, independence, and a lifelong love for the water.
And yes… if the name sounds familiar, it’s because she’s Ms. Becca’s sister! We’re thrilled to have this dynamic duo leading our mission to teach life-saving skills with love, structure, and a little bit of magic.
